Corrosion Behavior of TC4 Titanium Alloys in Al–Li Alloy Melt

The influences of Li content on the corrosion behavior TC4 (Ti6Al4V) titanium alloy were explored when was immersed in Al–Li melt containing 0%, 1%, and 2% lithium at 680 °C, 700 720 °C for 0.5 h, 1 2 h. structure growth law diffusion reaction layer solid–liquid interface studied, kinetic equation established. In addition, Ti determined its dissolution rate calculated. results showed that with increase melt, thickness (DRL) between increased significantly, activation energies obtained 141.28 kJ·mol−1 liquid Al, 86.62 Al–1Li alloy, 43.42 Al–2Li respectively. melts melts.
